For most homes, it depends on how many people are in the household:
3 to 5 people: the SPT Dark Knight 265L tank is usually ideal.
4 to 7 people: the 315L tank is a better choice to ensure you don’t run out of hot water.
The cost of a heat pump hot water system varies depending on the model, tank capacity, installation needs, and location. Heat pumps generally have a higher initial cost than standard electric systems, but they are significantly cheaper to operate. For an accurate price, it’s best to request a personalised quote based on your home and usage.
With proper installation and regular maintenance, an SPT heat pump hot water system can typically last around 10–15 years or more. Keeping it serviced will help maintain performance and extend its lifespan.
Heat-up time depends on the tank size, starting water temperature and weather conditions. In general, the system is designed to heat a full tank over a few hours and then maintain the set temperature efficiently.
